Walk up the hill at designated areas. Make sure your path is clear before proceeding down the hill. Only one person to a sled, the only exception is very young children with an adult. Building large bumps/jumps in NOT allowed. No metal saucers, toboggans, sleds with metal runners or cardboard pieces. Stay within Dike West Sledding Boundaries. No kicking sleds out from under others. No smoking. Sled at your own risk. No sledding in the skate park. Hay bales are strictly for walking paths. DO NOT MOVE. If you cannot comply with these rules, you will be asked to leave. Facilities with Dog Park   Dog Park Rules Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by them. Dogs must wear a collar, carry ID tags, be properly licensed, inoculated and in healthy condition. Dogs must not be left unattended or out of sight. The Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm Fargo, ND

The house was built by Newton Whitman in 1876. It was the first brick house built in the Dakota territory. They lived there until it was sold to the Yunker family in 1905. The museum is located in this house. The Children’s Museum began in 1985 as a project of the Junior League of Fargo/Moorhead and the Fargo Park District.  Complete renovation of the century old, red brick farm house was made possible by dedicated volunteers and generous contributions from individuals and the business community of the FM area.  The Children’s’ Museum at Yunker Farm opened in November of 1989. HISTORY OF THE FARGO MARATHON In May 2002, Fargo hosted the Scheels All Sports Run for the Children Half Marathon, and with 300 runners, it was considered a huge race. No one knew there so many people eager to run in Fargo, ND! After three years of the Half Marathon, we asked runners if they would support a full marathon in this place we call home. “Ya, Sure….You Betcha” was all we needed to hear, and in 2005, we made the jump to a full marathon. Our inaugural event in 2005 brought in over 2,400 participants….Uff Da! We thought that was as big as we would ever get! In the years to follow, our numbers continued to surprise us as we grew. In 2010, we hit our goal of over 20,000 people!! Uff Da! In 2011, we started FARGO ROCKS….Bands and Fans….every race….every mile! By 2012, we had over 50 live bands on the marathon and half marathon routes, and over 24,500 participants across all of our races!!
